The Amazon forests of Peru.

A forest without man is unnatural and a western concept. A forest is only as good as the people who seek residence in it. The hermits of India made the Indian tropical forests what it became. The simple people of the San Juan village are blessed with plenty. They sell few things and the entire economy is geared towards personal consumption. Land is free and anyone can build a home in a village if the leaders agree. What this experience taught me is that man the most amazing animal in this planet is quite spectacular as any other. Moreover men without guns are actually good for the environment.
