In November 2010, we made a combined trip to Peru and Ecuador. The idea was to see the Galapagos islands in Ecuador and the Amazon forests of Peru. In the process we took a great liking to two cities - Iquitos in Peru and Guayaquil in Ecuador. Hence, in this blog we focus on the Galapagos islands, the Amazon forests, Guayaquil, and Iquitos.

The city of Guayaquil in Ecuador.
We stopped at Guayaquil only to go to the more famous Galapagos islands. But we felt quite at home in this city. The food in general was awesome. The shrimps especially are well cleaned and tastes fresh. Never tasted better shrimps in my life.
