In November 2010, we made a combined trip to Peru and Ecuador. The idea was to see the Galapagos islands in Ecuador and the Amazon forests of Peru. In the process we took a great liking to two cities - Iquitos in Peru and Guayaquil in Ecuador. Hence, in this blog we focus on the Galapagos islands, the Amazon forests, Guayaquil, and Iquitos.

The city of Iquitos in Peru
When the world is racing towards looking the same everywhere, Iquitos is refreshingly different. The question I took back with me was how much of the character of this place will remain if I return in a few years.
